With the advancement in the STEM stream automation was anticipated with a vision of drastic change in the field of technology. The invention of the steam engine in 1850 was one such contribution to the initial outbreak of the world of automation. The transformation through the automation was supposed to be exceptional and it indeed turned out to be a splendid development in the STEM industry. Despite the debate that grew with time about automation, one thing remained static that automation can reform the world in numerous ways and the potential of automation needs to be harnessed.

Apart from the technological aspect of the automation, it ensured that even the leadership would change as this trend would take over the industries, business models, and the world economy. IT leaders across the world in 2020 perceive automation in a very productive way. They are well aware of its future and its effects on work opportunities. Hence for those who value the potential of the emerging technology, it won’t be wrong to say that our IT leaders can change the world for better. The question here lies how will this change happen?

The change can’t be promised overnight but according to the facts about the automation industry, we have been witnessing progress in the form of various inventions in the timeline of technology. Between 1993 and 2007, robotics showed 0.4% productivity by improving the quality and speed. While IT leaders promise a change of 1.4% by automation by 2065. The key role of IT leaders remains equally important in shaping the strategy to generate the best results using automation using the vision of a human mind and potential of the technology and its right application in an efficient way. Leaders with the perception of its implantation with the workforce can structure the advancement in the right direction because the involvement of the workforce is equally important as the implementation of technology itself. This will result in a collaborative bond between machine and workforce that will restructure the future and this reform would push people to observe automation as an opportunity and not a threat to their work opportunity. As automation allows leaders to identify the strategy and plan accordingly it also completes tedious and risky jobs for the manual workers. Automation offers ease to every level of the worker without compromising productivity. The only threat leaders experience in the whole process is the discomfort seen among the employees when they are unable to coordinate with the technology. To derive the coordination, the acquaintance to the fact that the mutual benefit can be achieved only by working together will serve the purpose.

This will make the workforce ready and also it marks the first step towards the automated world. The importance of automation is known to all of us but the real difficulty lies in understanding automation and its potential value concerning the specific field in our organization. Exploiting automation in the right way can result in productive results. For example, the huge volume of data can help in enhancing the performance if analyzed with the right automated business model because data hold a very important value in any institute. The choice affects the information in a transformational way and to choose right strategy the tech leaders need to collaborate with the technology experts or tech developers as in the example mentioned above a data scientist would help the firm to create the solution and analyze the data according to the needs and wants of the company by choosing the right technique of automated software for exploiting the dataset.

In the same way be it Fashion Designer, mining worker, construction firm, commercial bankers, work that handles sensitive data, the automation provided these sectors with a higher rate of growth in the consumer market. If we talk about business then this sector witnessed more business-centric informed decisions. This marks the second step towards the drastic change of the world by IT leaders.

IT leaders claim that the jobs generated by the age of automation bring tremendous opportunities in the industry. The current job opportunities are a perfect blend of knowledge and technologies. The employment proposed by such industries prepares individuals who are well versed with automation and technology and they will find ways for the improvisation as well. This marks the third and the most important step because there is room for innovation as well.

The growth is exponential and the ever-changing demand graph proves that quite clearly. IT leaders tend to develop perception as new technologies are emerging every day. Now we can even aim to develop a fully mechanical body one day!

With these goals in mind, the world is changing every day and with each new day, there is a new perception. What we had 10 years ago is different when we compare it with what we have today. The distortions in business models 10 years ago are now a trend because of automation. The emerging technology has changed the way we used to think and even its usage changed our lifestyle, economy, infrastructure, communication, transportation, business models, repositories, health care, finance, stock markets, and what not?

The flaw in the whole system remains because of the lack of human cognition and the debate about the creation of a fully intelligent system still prevails. The idea of achieving perfect rationality is still a goal to be achieved by the IT leaders across the globe. The successful trial of robots who perform tough tasks is the result of training given through the percept history and state history but they still lack human emotions and empathy and that is the exact reason why the automation introduced by the IT leaders needs a human being to develop and train them. Technology is a mix of the human mind and technological capabilities with innovation as a continuous and consistent task along with the generation of productive results. Automation requires skills that only humans possess. It needs social acceptance to witness further growth and development in this era.

Today, if we look around our IT leaders, have given us many substantial benefits and reforms in the form of numerous items around us. Be it the laptop in which you are reading this, the flight you board, it’s autopilot mode, the space crafts that allows the scientist to traverse planets, the ATM, self-driving cars, the chatbots we encounter on websites, the machines installed in factories and many more.

Over time the demands of different sectors are changing for their betterment. IT leaders all around the world come up with new trends and updates about automation every other day to change the environment in which things work. Their concern to provide us easy and automated solutions are indeed an intelligent and well-planned agenda to change the world for better opportunities.
